Marilyn H. West is the Chair and CEO of M. H. West & Co., Inc., a Virginia-based consulting firm that specializes in management and education services. Through a talented team of professionals, WEST has developed solutions that help clients build and maintain a qualified and satisfied workforce, strengthen internal and external customer relationships, align the organizational structure with the strategic plan, reduce costs, assure the delivery of quality products and services, meet financial and other performance goals, keep pace with the factors that impact their market share and monitor outcomes from resources expended. A broad cross-section of industries, governments, non-profit organizations and trade associations have engaged WEST.
Advises and consults on matters involving operations, development, structure, regulations and strategy. Has over thirty-five years of experience working with CEOs, executive management and governance of public and private sector businesses including corporations, medical care facilities, health care systems, federal, state and local governmental agencies, law firms and professional and trade associations. Also works with public and elected officials and community and civic leaders.
Marilyn is known for strong analytical, communication (writing and verbal), management and planning skills, decisiveness, leadership and volunteerism. Has participated in business process optimization and strategic and financial planning initiatives and has led the business process reengineering, organizational development, strategic planning and project management initiatives for the firm. Has also substantial expertise in regulatory impact studies (particularly in the health care industry), business counseling and development, community planning, workforce development, human resources, survey research, government relations and lobbying.
Other areas of specialization are team building, continuous quality improvement, survey research, focus group and survey work, motivational speaking, customer service improvement, human relations, conflict management and retreat facilitation. Has assisted many organizations reverse poor financial performance, dysfunctional workforces and poor relationships between organizations and people and serves as executive coach and mentor.
She is the author of many publications involving the service, manufacturing and retail industries.

Marilyn has created over 300 pieces of digital art under the name: The M2Arm Collection. Selected pieces have been displayed in prominent locations, both commercial and residential. She is married to Edward G. West and has two children and two grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoys fishing and playing tennis and bridge.
